Matthew Ruesch
Co-Founder and Managing Partner
Matthew Ruesch is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Broad Creek Capital. Prior to founding Broad Creek, Matt served as the head of strategy and a board director for a New York based technology company, and has also served as co-head of the investor relations and business development group for a global macro hedge fund. Previously, he practiced law in New York with a focus in corporate transactions.
Matt currently serves on the Board of Regents of Georgetown University and the Board of Directors of the Ruesch Family Foundation. He holds a BA from Georgetown University and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
Matt lives in Zurich, Switzerland with his wife and three children. He loves spending time with his family and is a diehard fan of Roger Federer and the Hoyas.
Michael W. Green
Co-Founder and Managing Partner
Michael W. Green is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Broad Creek Capital. Mike oversees Broad Creek's portfolio of investments in real estate, venture capital and growth equity. Prior to Broad Creek, he was founding partner of a Washington, D.C. based law firm and real estate company. He previously practiced law in the Washington, D.C. office of a large, international law firm.
Mike currently serves on the Board of Directors of The 1789 Fund, a non-profit organization focusing on global health issues. Mike holds a BA from Georgetown University and a JD from The George Washington University Law School.
Mike lives in the Washington, DC area with his wife and three children. On the weekends, Mike can be found spending time with friends and family at his house on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Elie Denfert-Rochereau
Managing Partner
Elie Denfert-Rochereau is a Venture Partner at Broad Creek Capital, and the founder of Crossover Value Capital, a NY-based private investment firm investing in the US and European markets across different asset classes. Previously, Elie worked at White Star Capital, an international venture fund, and in investment banking, at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank in Hong Kong.
Elie holds a master in Finance from the Institut Supérieur de Gestion in Paris.
Timothy Martin
Partner
Timothy Martin is a Partner of Broad Creek Capital, helping to identify and execute investments for the firm, primarily in real estate. Prior to joining Broad Creek, Tim practiced law as a corporate and restructuring attorney in New York before joining a technology company as general counsel and head of business development.
He holds a BA from Georgetown University and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
Jiorjio Fetterman
Chief Financial Officer
Jiorjio Fetterman is the Chief Financial Officer of Broad Creek Capital, LLC a New York based private equity firm.
Jiorjio was previously at Clearlake Capital from 2017 to 2019 serving as Vice President of Finance and Operations. Prior to Clearlake, Jiorjio was the Controller at Canyon Partners from 2008 to 2017 where he was responsible for back-office accounting and operations. Prior to Canyon, Jiorjio was a Senior Auditor at Deloitte where he worked on financial statement audits of investment funds and mortgage companies.
During his 15 years in the investment management industry Jiorjio managed funds that invested globally with a variety of hedge fund and private equity strategies and instruments including public equities, distressed debt, bonds, mortgage-backed securities, real-estate, trade claims, bank debt, structured products, private equity, futures, options, derivatives, commodities, and foreign exchange.
Jiorjio has been active in shaping best practices in the alternative asset industry. He is frequently invited to participate in industry conferences as a moderator, panelist and speaker and is often quoted in industry publications. He has written and presented on a wide range of hedge fund operational and business topics.
Jiorjio is a guest lecturer at the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business and has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 2007.
Adam Stifel
Managing Director, Head of Real Estate
Adam Stifel is a highly experienced real estate expert with a strong background in development and asset management. Prior to joining Broad Creek, he founded and led the development platform at Capital Square, where, as Chief Development Officer, he was responsible for sourcing, capitalizing, and executing more than $700 million in multifamily, mixed-use, and hospitality projects across a range of states, including North and South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Texas, and Colorado. Stifel is also the founder of CAS Riegler Cos (now May Riegler Cos.) and Hook Properties, both of which are full-service real estate development and asset management firms.
Since 2009, he has personally sponsored over $500 million in multifamily developments and has acquired various property types, such as retail and commercial office spaces. Over the course of his career, Stifel has overseen the acquisition, financing, entitlement, construction, and execution of both for-sale and rental projects in Washington, D.C., and its surrounding areas.
Jake Baum
Managing Director, Real Estate
Jake is Managing Director at Broad Creek Capital, focusing on growing and managing the firm's portfolio of investments in real estate. Prior to Broad Creek, he was a Senior Vice President at Capital Square, a real estate development and investment company where he oversaw investments in the company's development, REIT, and DST initiatives.
Jake holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia and a Masters in Real Estate from Georgetown University.
Scott Degen
Principal
Scott is responsible for the underwriting of new investment opportunities, supporting the due diligence process and financial modeling. Prior to joining Broad Creek, Scott was an investment banker advising clients on M&A and capital raising transactions. He holds a BS from Fairfield University and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
